Analysis of Heat and Fluid Flow in Blast-furnace Hearth as a Means to Increase Productivity 1999-01-2526
The cooling of the wall and bottom of a blast furnace hearth is a problem of great practical importance for the blast-furnace campaign. The aim of this paper is a review of the literature on the subject and the presentation of the results regarding the temperature distribution in the hearth refractories of a blast furnace obtained by numerical calculations and under suitable hypotheses.
