Simulation Provides Way Ahead for United States Army Breaching System 1999-01-2781
This paper outlines how the U.S. Army is using simulation based acquisition techniques to: 1) decrease the process time for developing new combat systems, 2) decrease the high cost of increasingly complex weapons, and, 3) extend the benefits of modeling and simulation throughout the life cycle of a key Army system, encompassing engineering development through production, training, modernization, and sustainment.
