Abstract:
The University of Florida lightning research group in 1999 measured the electric and magnetic fields and their time derivatives from triggered lightning dart leader/return stroke sequences at distances of 15 m and 30 m, in addition to measuring the causative currents and current time derivatives. Also recorded were the acoustic signals at 3 to 30 m. In this paper, we primarily present results on fields and field derivatives at 15 m, and on currents and current derivatives.
