Abstract:
The family of probability distributions and the corresponding spectral density of energy are parameters of the current state of a defect or other inhomogeneity. At macroscopic level one observes the united effect of many separate processes running at mesoscopic range of length scales. Theoretical models are compared with numerical simulations. Two particular systems were chosen. The fibre reinforced composite and the fluctuations of concentrations in alloys with or without local order. In the last case, the method to distinguish between locally ordered alloys from disordered ones has been proposed.
