Development of Narrow Headlamps by Combining Free Formed Surface System with Projector System 2002-01-0527
This is a report on the development of vertically-narrow headlamps by combining the Free Formed Surface System with the Projector System.
Headlamps are very important automobile parts which affect the total image of a car. The latest headlamp design trend tells us that different types of headlamp designs such as vertical, horizontal and round ones have been offered and more innovative designs have been required. Especially vertically-narrow headlamps have been required more and more to match the contours of the sports car bodies. In order to meet the requirement, we have analyzed the advantages of Free Formed Surface System, the Projector System, and the combination of the two systems.
