Technology and Business Implications for Distributed Telematic Applications 2002-21-0047
The delivery of Telematic services via integration of communication technologies and in-car information systems has not been a profitable business proposition for a lot of players. Complexity of the overall Telematic service provision chain in which several players are struggling to make their business area profitable has led to complex technological and business models. The overall result has been a costly set of Telematic offerings that has not met with success in the marketplace. This paper discusses the approach and some of the implications associated with modeling and implementing Telematics for success.
