Numerical Investigation of Dynamic Wind Loading on High Speed Ground Vehicle During Crossing Event 2003-01-1251
In order to study unsteady wind loading on high speed trains passing by each other, a three-dimensional inviscid numerical method based on three types of domain decomposition techniques is developed. After the validation of the code to a single track train/tunnel interaction problem on three dimensional configuration, numerical simulations of the trains passing by on the double-track are conducted using 3 basic parameters in order to understand basic nature of the crossing event. From the practical viewpoint, variational parametric study is carried out to understand the effects of the velocity of the train, the gap between the train and the blockage ratio.
