Abstract:
To help improve the efficiency of manufacturing operations and supply chain management, it is becoming imperative that manufacturers effectively collaborate with both customers and suppliers while managing material and product quality. In the Aerospace & Defense industry, many of the components or materials supplied to Aerospace & Defense companies are not simply items that are scraped when they are defective. Expensive, life critical components usually require additional time and effort to correct problems and defects. The ability to accurately rate suppliers based on a quality perspective can provide manufacturers with tremendous opportunity to improve product quality while reducing costs.
