Study on Power Battery's Performance Evaluation 2004-01-0068

To evaluate the power battery's performance according to the special requirements of EV is very important and required by vehicle's matching design. In this paper, the performance evaluation system of power battery was built. Several evaluation parameters were put forward, such as using the energy dropping factor ξ(E), the relative voltage-dropping rate rv and the temperature rising rate rθ to signify the discharging characteristic. Also the battery cell's consistency was discussed and the relative voltage's difference factor and the relative internal resistance's difference factor were used as evaluation parameters. Based on the experimental results, the battery evaluation system was explained. As a conclusion, the evaluation system put forward in this paper is reasonable to guide the vehicle battery's selection and capacity design.
