Visual User Interfaces for Telematics 2004-01-0282

The term “telematics” is now used to cover a large spectrum of in-vehicle functionality. This functionality has a correspondingly large spectrum of human-machine interface (HMI) needs. This paper describes the visual elements of a modern telematics system and design problems and the trade-offs that must be made in an automotive environment.
