Evolution of Bench Test Methods to Validate Suspension Struts for Passenger Cars on Indian Roads 2005-01-1493
This paper deals with evolution of test bench evaluation methodology to validate the passenger car suspension strut dampers.
Test methods were designed to address the various field failures observed on Indian road conditions.
This paper explains evolution of the techniques (to reproduce the failure) and the methodology (to arrive at test conditions e.g. load, test duration, test conditions etc). Further the paper also discusses about the causes of the failure & improvement actions initiated with supportive data.
