Development of Radiator Fan & Shroud with Microcellular Foaming Process 2005-01-1669

Applying microcellular foaming process to radiator fan & shroud, physical properties were measured and cross section and exterior appearance were examined at various foaming degrees(solid, 5%, 10%, 15%). Newly developed polyamide 66 could overcome accompanying problems of bad appearance and loss of strength. Key factors of improvement were additional increase of glass fiber content and lower melt viscosity.
