Approaches to Innovations in the Aerospace Sector through Green Engineering and Green Chemistry 2005-01-3305
Green engineering and green chemistry provide approaches and strategies for innovation in the aerospace sector that contribute to economic growth and global competitiveness while protecting human health and the environment. By using the life cycle stages of the aerospace sector as a template and looking at various scales, products, processes and systems, this paper presents green engineering and green chemistry opportunities highlighting successful research and case studies for adoption and implementation. Often these advances and alternatives demonstrate enhanced performance, cost effectiveness, and improved environmental characteristics.
