Reverse Engineering for Powertrain Aftermarket 2006-01-2684

The market demands replacement components for application with a great number of units in operation or inadequate project causing premature field failure. This created a niche where competitor products, demanding a certain adaptation degree done through reverse engineering, could be disposal to replace the original ones.
The purpose from this work is to show the reverse engineering process conducted along with the development from products to Aftermarket application in the powertrain area. The importance of using the company expertise and structure and the relevance from technical, economical, law and cultural factors, as well the importance from this tool to improve and optimize process and products.
