Input Precision, Equilibrium Paths, and Computability 2008-01-1370
Mechanical processes sensitive to initial conditions pose special challenges for analysis. This investigation shows how numerical imprecision (noise) in the initial conditions can result in different equilibrium paths being followed and how stochastic fields can be used to control the equilibrium path.
