Screening of key contributors through BLR utilization - a specific transmission noise claim case study 2008-36-0086
This paper illustrates one example where Six Sigma was applied to identify, through a screening process using BLR (binary logistic regression), the main contributors to transmissions presenting a 2nd gear whine noise condition. With the help of Six Sigma and its Binary Logistics Regression (BLR) tool, the process was optimized through the minimization of the variation of the main contributors to the noise claim in question.
The Binary Logistic Regression (BLR) is a statistical technique for making predictions used when an attributive analysis is carried out. In this case study such a statistical tool was used as the issue followed a subjective analysis.
