Application of Six Sigma methodology on reducing the noise level on alternators 2008-36-0327
The environment waits from the technology, a contribution to reduce energy consumption, emissions, natural resources, keeping the focus on the costumer's comfort. In this way, we highlight in this work, a development/study oriented for the noise reduction on alternators (aerodynamic noise).
Using the Six Sigma methodology, we have studied all factors that could generate aerodynamic noise, through statistical tools and analysis. A development with a new technology and electrical lay-out is necessary to reduce magnetic noise.
This work allowed to improve the product and moves the noise emission to a more comfortable level.
