Combustion process modeling in HCCI engine 2011-01-1789

In the article we consider the model of binary fuel combustion process in which combustion of each component is described separately. According to chemical kinetics both processes occur simultaneously with variable activation energy. The new parameter - conditional duration of reaction of oxidation of a fuel molecule - is introduced. HCCI engine cycle calculations fuelled with DME/methane mixture has been carried out. Phlegmatic effect of methane on autoignition capability of DME has been analyzed.
