Strategic drivers for competition are industrial processes and standard management. This is a field where organizational capacity of the great players, who set and impose their own standards and industrial processes, and SMEs limited resources and lack of specific skills clash.

PIANET is a regional based SME NETWORK', gathering and sharing already existing skills in some SMEs on the territory, to collect, coordinate and propagate the skills on the network; identify needs and tailor solutions to the SME's operative model; intercept and disseminate technologies enabling innovation; offer an opportunity to cooperate with and among the big players; view and show world wide the excellence of the Piedmont industrial sector.

This job follow the “Strategic Planning Model for SMEs” (see ref. Paper 2009 01-3153 - TORINO PIEMONTE AEROSPACE (TPA) project - Strategic Planning Model for SMEs), where TPA adopted a disciplinary tool which measured the competitive strength of the Piemonte aerospace cluster (Torino Piemonte Aerospace companies) and analyzed the external environment (market trends, business models, strategic assets). Compare to this, PIANET is a business network for the collection and dissemination of technologies enabling the growth of SMEs, to achieve better trade competitiveness.
