Evaluation of the Driver Comfort in a Vehicle Model with 7 Degrees of Freedom 2013-36-0644
This paper involves the application of an analytical model of a passenger vehicle with 7 degrees of freedom, considering the irregularities of the road as the main source of excitation. Verifying the influence of suspension, the tire/wheel and sprung mass on the comfort of the driver and dynamic behavior of the vehicle as a whole. For this will be necessary to vary constants values of spring constant and tire stiffness, the damping coefficient and mass of the wheel and sprung mass.
