Abstract:
This paper presents a full automated solution that integrates robots and smart devices for milling and inspection of aircraft composite parts oriented by Industry 4.0 concepts. The purpose of this technological innovation is to reach better results in terms of productivity, flexibility and managing of the production processes based on IoT (Internet of Things). Monitoring and controlling the processes online by mobile devices, the advanced solution can add value and providing a greater efficiency to the processes. It means to connect the systems to manufacturing processes in order to interact with one another using standard internet-based protocols and analyze data to predict failure, configure systems and adjust to changes, striving for excellence in every step by further adding value and reducing wastes. On this way, it has been looked for better results in efficiency and technological innovation faced to competitive market requirements related to aviation sector. So, it will make it possible to produce higher-quality goods at reduced costs based on innovation, savings and industrial growth, enabling greater customer satisfaction and competitiveness for the company.
