Real-time estimation of 4WD Electric Vehicle utilization adhesion coefficient based on UIO

Abstract:
The acquisition of utilization adhesion coefficient are of great importance in road recognition for Four-Wheels-Drive(4WD) Electric Vehicle(EV) anti-slip regulation(ASR). Based on the entire in-wheel motor model, a combination of the electrical model of in-wheel motor with the wheel kinetic model, the UIO was designed, which can estimate the utilization adhesion coefficient quickly and effectively by inputting the in-wheel motor applied voltage signal and wheel vertical load signal. A MATLAB/Simulink model and a CarSim vehicle model were developed, and the MATLAB/Simulink-CarSim co-simulation experiment was carried out under setting condition of road. The results show that the UIO can obtain the real-time estimation accurately.
