Multipurpose Lubricants for Gears on the Go 620068
Two types of gear lubricants are discussed: mile e-p and multipurpose. Dynamometer gear rigs for conducting MIL-L-2105B gear lubricant tests are shown, with such measured test results as antiwear, load carrying characteristics, antiscoring, rust protection, and thermal oxidation stability. New additives are available today to give improved characteristics for specified applications.
