Planning Line Haul Headquarters Shop for Maximum Efficiency 630303
The design of a complete maintenance facility for a long haul common carrier with centralized maintenance is discussed in this paper. The maintenance shop is described in terms of traffic pattern, future growth, equipment necessary for speed in performing maintenance operations, and plan layout to coordinate maintenance, line haul operations, and break bulk terminal operation.
