Discussion of Allen PB-881 analyzer, which was designed to check, with engine running, the various components used in automotive and electrical and ignition systems.
Development of this system was based on two ideas: to provide a unit which would reduce diagnosis time by using a logical sequence of test operations and to provide a method of prewiring vehicles which would allow instant connection of the test equipment to accomplish further reduction in diagnosis time.
