Modular Body Wiring - How Come? 640428

The first automobile lights were wired with lamp cord. Developments for the next 55 years were gradual and were caused by changing environment, the need to reduce costs, the development of new materials, and the adding of wiring circuits. In the last eight years, we have had two major developments; modular harnesses and flat cable. This paper discusses these developments and the factors that will affect future developments.
