The Systems Approach to Heavy Truck Steering 700880

The systems approach provides a technique that considers all facets of design and validation of a system as a series of dependent sub-systems. This technique involves treating the system in its entirety when establishing the performance parameters and requires that the criteria assigned to each component satisfy total performance. By designing in this objective manner, the system will be optimized and the over-all program will be conducted at maximum efficiency.
This paper promulgates this process applied to the steering system of a heavy truck with the associated gains in vehicle performance.
