Included is an estimate of the number of electronic components used in each subsystem; a summary, in chart form, of the availability, frequency of installation, and consumer cost of electronic systems available on 1977 automobiles; and a list of the major barriers and developments required for the implementation of some proposed automotive electronic systems.
