The Influence of Hydrogen Addition to the Air-Fuel Mixture on Otto Engine Combustion 790678

By means of experimental analysis, which were carried out at the chair of Internal Combustion Engines of the University of Kaiserslautern,it could be demonstrated that it is possible to operate an Otto-engine without throttling,at a very high air-fuel-ratio by adding hydrogen to the intake air.Due to the very lean mixture extremely low exhaust pollution at part load could be noted.
