The SAE Fiberboard Subcommittee has established a classification system for Fiberboards which are utilized in automotive trim products. This new classification system, designated as SAE J1323, is the result of a joint effort of consumers and suppliers over a period of approximately 10 years to provide a system to select a particular fiber-board and the fiberboard properties for utilization in a particular application in an automotive vehicle.
