Pilot Support for Mission Flight Planning Using Expert Systems 831467
SCT has developed a Route Planning Aid that employs techniques from Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence to aid a Tactical Air Force mission planner in finding a high quality route to and from a heavily defended target. This paper describes the aid and comments on the problems involved in transferring this technology to the cockpit.
