Thermal Protection System for Electrical Cables in High Temperature and Steam Blast Environment 840922
A silicone coated, braided fiberglass sleeving material has been selected as a replacement thermal protective covering for cables on a missile system which is ground launched and traverses into space flight. The silicone sleeving provides the cable with protection from extreme temperatures and high pressure acidic steam blast as well as remaining flexible.
