Abstract:

The nature of helicopter crew station design has been transformed by new mission requirements, advanced cockpit technology and a greater emphasis on systems integration. As a result, simulation has emerged as a tool which can be used at a variety of levels during the design process. This dictates the need for a broad spectrum of simulation capabilities ranging from simple display generation through total mission simulation in ground-based or airborne concepts.
