Aircooled, Turbocharged. Aftercooled - The Heavy Duty Diesel Engines BF6L 913 C for Trucks 852328
The BF6L 913 diesel engine with turbocharging and the type BF6L 913 C with charge air cooling are air-cooled 6-cylinder in-line engines. They are offered with net brake powers (SAE J 1349) of 118 kW (160 HP) and 140 kW (188 HP) in EPA-certified versions. One version of the E-F6L 913 C meeting the CARB specifications, is being developed, rated 132 kW (177 HP).
The type BF6L 913/C are the most advanced engines of an engine family that has been kept in line with changing market requirements ever since the beginning of its development in 1952, so that - with a little enlargement of the installation space - the cylinder power could be increased 2.24-fold.
