The antiskid devices, to operate, utilize only the measurements
of the wheel rotational speeds measured at the average level of
these wheels. These angular speeds are the signals that integrate
the numerous extraneous phenomena such as: horizontal movement and
vertical oscillation of the wheels in relation to the vehicle
chassis.
We will define the nature of the amplitude of the phenomena
cited above by analysis of the behaviour of the connecting elements
between the wheels and the chassis (the suspension), and in
treating this problem, we will avoid a reduction in the braking
efficiency.
