Performance of Fiberglass-Reinforced Resins in Instrument Panels 870198

This paper identifies how the mechanical and thermal properties of fiberglass-reinforced resins used in instrument panels vary with glass fiber orientation and distribution. Comparative material evaluations point out significant differences in part performance as a function of resin system. These results point out some design considerations that should be followed when using fiberglass-reinforced resins in instrument panel applications.
