Candidate FMC/ATC Data Exchange Using Digital Data Communications 871812
With the availability of air/ground digital data communications, the potential exists for the exchange of data between airborne Flight Management Computers (FMC) and the ground-based Air Traffic Control (ATC) computers. This paper outlines ways in which direct air/ground computer communication could through data link, enhance ATC capabilities and provide increased services to airspace users.
