Recent Developments in High Temperature Polyimide Systems 871834
A number of recent innovations in both product development and fabrication technology have led to a family of polyimide products that offer the design engineer practical, cost-competitive solutions to difficult problems in high temperature applications. The family of products includes a new super tough polyimide molding resin that can be fabricated into complex small parts using powder metallurgy technology and two polyimide matrix resins for use in the fabrication of high performance composites. The two matrix resins cover a range of temperature performance and processing features that form the basis for a number of product options. The significant properties and applications of these materials will be reviewed.
