Modern Driveline System for Wheel Excavators 881323
The mobility, working performance and therefore the total economy of wheel excavators can be greatly improved by increasing the maximum traveling speed of the vehicle. For wheel excavators with service weights up to 22 metric tons, a considerable effort is being invested into increasing the top travel speed from 20 km/h to approx. 35 km/h. This will result in setting new standards for modern driveline technology that will have the following requirements:
The combination of the standard hydrostatic drive system with a power shiftable transmission
Overspeed protection device for the hydraulic motor
The integration of wet integrated multiplate wearfree disc brakes and clutches throughout the drive train system
Layout of all components for increased engine power, higher rpms and torque
Improvement of lubrication and oil system for increased performance
Higher working efficiencies, reduction of heat generation leading to a better system economy
Optimal coordination of transmission and axle ratios
