A New Method of Statistical Linearization for truck Leaf Springs 891365
In accordance with the characteristic of leaf spring’ s restoring force, which is unvarying with frequency this paper presents a MSL method. It introduces the structural damping into the equivalent linear equation in addition to viscous damping, thus improved the traditional statistical linearization method, the later includes viscous damping only. The equivalent linear equation of MSL and its corresponding complex modal method are given and the implementing process of linearization is discussed in detail. Finally, the comparison between simulated results of the new method and the previous method to the measurement for a truck indicates that the new method is effective.
