Development of an Inner Rack Seal with External Dirt Lip and Integral Oil Contaminant Filter 900332
An inner rack seal incorporating an external dirt lip and integral oil side filter has been developed for automotive power steering gear applications. This concept minimizes seal damage from foreign particles which can become trapped under the seal lip in this reciprocating application. As a result, seal life is improved when internal or external contaminants exist.
