Finite Element Method on CBA123 Design and Certification 921445

The finite element method was intensively used by EMBRAER for the aircraft CBA123 - Vector, design and certification (FAR 25).
This method together with in house developed pre-and pos-processors were very usefull tools for linear and non-linear stuctural, fatigue, composite structure and damage tolerance analysis.
The substantiation of the analysis method was based on past experience and on components, sub-components and full scale instrumented tests.
