Mathematical Model to Predict the Performance Characteristics of the Torque Converters 921452

A theoretical procedure is described to predict the performance characteristics of torque converters with three elements. The mathematical model is developed assuming that the circulation motion of the fluid is similar to a forced vortex with a linear velocity distribuition from the mean radius (Rv). Therefore, all equations are developed for the flow section of the fluid inside the torque converter.
The results obtained are compared with the conventional model and with the experimental measurements.
