The Surface Strengthening and Repaired Technique of the Die of Covering Pieces in Automobiles 931996

This paper is to present some methods and techniques of surface strengthening and repairing of dies in automobile industry. The dies, especially for those covering pieces of punched coldrolled steel sheet, occupy an important place in the manufacturing of automobile, which are one of the key parts to guarantee the configuration and overall quality of automobile, but due to the different shapes and large dimensions as well as the extraordinary quality requirements of these dies, the manufacturing process is complicated to a certain degree, resulting in a long period of processing and the high production costs. Thus, it is of great economic significance to prolong the lifetime of dies with the application of surface strengthening and repairing techniques.
