Abstract:
With the introduction of variable length induction pipes controlled by the engine management system on some race engines, the relationships between the induction performance and the engine parameters needs to be described. An analysis of this dependence has been carried out using a computer simulation and the results of previously published work in an attempt to produce simplified relationships that may be of use.The basic engine geometry used was that of the 4-valve/cylinder Weslake WRP275 engine.
