Cummins Quantum CELECT Fuel System Description for the QSK19 Diesel Engine 961748
As off-highway customer demands continue to increase and emission regulations become tighter, new fuel system technology is required. New fuel system technology must not only meet the regulatory needs but also provide other benefits that help the customer succeed while maintaining high reliability and performance standards.
The trend for both off-highway as well as on-highway applications is to provide higher pressure injection capability with full authority electronic fueling and injection timing control. Also, many electronic customer features are now part of the fuel system package.
The Cummins Quantum CELECT™ high pressure injection fuel system for the QSK19 engine is described in this paper. Details of the performance attributes as well as the electronic features are explained.
