FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS OF MOTORCYCLE MANEUVERING: MOTORCYCLIST'S IDENTIFICATION AND MENTAL STRESS ON SIMPLIFIED RUNNING COURSES 978503

1

Generally speaking, it is considered that the motorcyclist's mental stress is kept higher than driver's, because two-wheeled vehicle is emphasized it's disadvantageous to the people. But the authors had doubts about reliability. And for finding out the original sources of motorcyclist's mental stress, and the simplified running courses are set up and experimental research of motorcyclist's mental stress is performed. On the other hand, the experiments with the driver of four-wheeled vehicle are made also in the same way, and mutual comparisons are made. Consequently, it is found that motorcyclist's mental stress is lower than driver's in some situations. Especially, in the situation of leading the vehicle along the course, it is found that motorcyclist's mental stress is kept lower than driver's.
