This paper deals with our surveyprofiles of several types of road surfaces, which was intended to provide the basis for establishing such critical design, as well as with our study to predict durability of heavy-duty vehicles.
First, road profile measurements were conducted to evaluate evenness of various roads and then attempts were made to evaluate road evenness. Second, the test dump truck traveled over the surveyed road sections and cumulative damage fatigue caused by the road inputs is analyzed by Miner's law and the simulation of the vehicle dynamics.
Finally, correlation between road profiles and durability of the heavy vehicle is reviewed schematically.
