The Allison MD3066 Transmission 982797

In September of 1991, Allison Transmission Division launched the World Transmission product line with the release of the MD3060 automatic transmission into production. In January of 1996, Allison introduced the MD3066 transmission, the next response to market trends in automatic transmissions for use in trucks. The MD3066 transmission model has seen continuous improvement since 1996, including an increase in application ratings in January of 1998, anticipating the needs of the target marketplace. This paper discusses the features, design and development of the MD3066 transmission.
