Abstract:

This paper describes those elements of a personalized airborne transportation system that are necessary and sufficient to make it usable in the future by a significant portion of the world's population. This system, which includes “powered lift aircraft” called volantors ¹ and the infrastructure in which they operate, must meet the user's personal needs while concurrently meeting societal needs as well.
